Ancient Greece Gods & Goddesses Coin Collection

Twelve coins, twelve gods. This collection follows the family that ruled Ancient Greece's imagination — the Olympians who governed sky and sea, harvest and hearth, wisdom and war, and the one god who ruled what came after.

Zeus opens the set, thunderbolt in hand, king of Olympus. Poseidon follows with his trident, sovereign of the sea, and Hades completes the brothers' division of the cosmos as ruler of the underworld. Hera, queen of the gods and guardian of marriage, and Demeter, goddess of the harvest, sit alongside Hestia, keeper of the hearth and home.

Athena appears in her owl and armor, goddess of wisdom and strategic war. Ares' sister Artemis carries her bow as huntress and protector of the wild, while Apollo, god of light, music, and prophecy, represents the other half of their twin pair. Aphrodite, born of the sea foam, embodies love and beauty. Hermes moves fastest of all, messenger of the gods and guide between worlds, and Hephaestus, master smith of Olympus, closes the collection at his forge.

Each coin is struck in copper and plated in .999 fine silver, 45mm across, with the god or goddess on the obverse and a design on the reverse tied to their myth. A free display album is included, with a slot for every coin in the set, so the pantheon builds one by one as you collect.
